G2 Hires Global Communications Planning Director

G2 has named Jim Taylor as global communications planning director, a new position.

He is responsible for leading the agency’s communications planning services across key clients and the G2 international network.

He reports to Jonathan Dodd, G2’s global director of strategy.

Most recently, he was the communications planning director and retail director for Mediaedge:cia (MEC) where he pioneered their global planning process in addition to setting up the agency’s European division of their trade and shopper marketing offer, MEC Retail.

Taylor has worked in both the UK and South Africa, for Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Erickson.

An acclaimed author, Taylor has also published two books: “Space Race” and more recently “Rigorous Magic”—both on the topic of brand communications.
