Frigidaire Canada bows a sweeps this Saturday aimed at promoting the company’s front load laundry appliances while rewarding a Canadian consumer with front row tickets to one of three events.
Once the Front Load 2 Front Row sweeps begins, consumers will have until May 15 to enter on the promotion at Frigidairecanada.ca.
The grand-prize winner will receive two tickets to either the Lord of the Rings musical in Toronto, The Grand Prix of Canada in Montreal, or Cirque du Soleil-Varekai in Vancouver. The winner will also receive two airline tickets to the event, hotel accommodations and $500 in spending money. Three other winners will receive front load laundry sets.
“We have put a tremendous amount of focus behind our ‘wet products’ in 2006,” said Stephanie Clarke, director of marketing at Frigidaire. “Major appliances is a very competitive marketplace and this is especially true in wet products, so we have to rise above the clutter.”
Frigidaire, synonymous with refrigeration and cooking, “wanted to let people know of the breadth and depth of our product line-up,” Clarke said. “With the focus on front load laundry, coupled with eye-catching creative, we will definitely leave an impression with consumers.”
After several years of staying under the radar, Frigidaire decided to step up and deliver six national promotions and at least four in channel promotions this year, Clarke said.
The sweeps is being promoted through in-store P-O-P, print ads, online banners and on the Frigidaire Canada Web site.
