Eos Airlines Launches Rewards Program

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Eos Airlines is out with a new rewards program that lets consumers redeem travel rewards on any airline without restrictions.

Under the program, Eos Club 48 gives business executives and high-end leisure travelers the chance to redeem rewards for travel on any airline and earn up to 80,000 points worth $800 in travel rewards on their first round trip flight.

Eos Airlines is a new, single class premium airline dedicated to serving international business executives, which offers daily flights between New York and London. The airline was founded in March 2003.

Consumers who enroll in the program before March 31 will automatically receive 15,000 points and earn double points on all Eos flights. As an extra incentive, new members who join and fly one round trip before the March deadline will receive 50,000 bonus points.

Travelers can enroll online at Eosairlines.com. Since the program’s inception in mid December, more than 400 members have joined and the program is “building dramatically,” said John Rindlaub Jr., executive VP-marketing, Eos Airlines.

Through Eos Club 48, consumers can use their points toward travel purchases on any airline, without restrictions or blackout dates. Members can redeem their rewards via a designated travel center where points will be deducted from their accounts, Rindlaub said. Eos Airlines is the first airline in the industry to offer such a program, he said.

“Rewards programs today are frequent flyer programs that don’t engender loyalty,” Rindlaub said. “All airlines have them. It tends to drive up costs and encourage switching between two or three clubs. We said, ‘let’s start with a blank sheet.'”

“We want to reward our customers and let them fly whether it be American [Airlines] or Delta or any carrier when they take their rewards,” he added. “We just want to provide the best reward options for our guests.”

In addition to travel, points, which are equivalent to one cent (USD), can also be applied toward luxury goods or exclusive events. For example, members with 80,000 points can travel on any major airline that has a maximum value of $800 U.S. dollars, or use their points for golf for four at a private New York area course, a spa excursion in New York and London, an Apple iPod and Bose Sound dock or Tumi luggage set.

The rewards program is part of Eos Airlines’ new marketing campaign designed to introduce its new Commercial Corporate Jet brand theme. The multi-million dollar advertising campaign touts the airline’s roomy accommodations via the tagline, “With only 48 guests on a plane built for 220, everything changes. Eos Introduces The Commercial Corporate Jet.”
