VETERAN DMER Eliot DeY. Schein died on April 2 at age 58. During his career, Schein served as president of Schein/Blattstein Advertising, as professor at Pace University and as president of the New York Direct Marketing Club. He won that club’s leadership award in 1988 and a Silver Apple award in 1992. Schein was also a Folio: magazine columnist for many years. “He was a man of many talents, but more importantly, a man of many friends, and we’ll all miss him,” said his former partner Joel Blattstein. He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Krajcsik.
