Raleigh, NC-based Electric Generators USA Inc. is launching a test direct mail campaign targeting 147,000 households in Brevard County, FL, to promote a new subscription service for emergency access to portable gasoline-powered electric generators when power is disrupted.
Depending on the response in Brevard County, Electric Generators plans to roll out more direct mail in throughout Florida, Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas, before the end of this year. Its service plan price-point starts at $10 per month.
The target market includes consumers on fixed incomes who could not otherwise afford backup generators, following major power failures, such as occurred after the recent swarm of hurricanes to hit the Southeast.
