Draft Chicago has hired Chicago agency veteran Nick Jones to lead its new Nokia global retail business.

Jones joined Draft this week as senior VP, a new post. He had been executive VP-director of client services at Upshot, Chicago, where Jones worked for eight years.
“We’re assembling a multi-talented group of people here and abroad to meet Nokia’s needs; Nick is well-suited to lead the charge,” said Draft Chicago President-Chief Operating Officer Yvonne Furth in a statement.

Draft also hired McDonald’s Corp. veteran Steve Nubie to work on the Nokia business. Nubie joins Draft as senior VP-group creative director, a new post; he had been president-CEO of consultancy Steve Nubie Co. Nubie was McDonald’s director of advertising for nine years, and earlier had been creative director at longtime McDonald’s shop Leo Burnett, Chicago.
