Gregory Slayton has a pretty good batting average lately. The chief executive officer of e-mail service provider ClickAction is also the founder of Silicon Valley Bush 2000, the coordinating group for George W. Bush’s campaign among high-tech firms.

Palo Alto, CA-based ClickAction agreed to take on the e-mail promotion for the Republican National Committee (RNC) 90 days before the election. It built the list for the group to more than 1 million names, then launched a viral marketing campaign about Bush’s platform.
