Direct Media Develops B-to-B Transactional Database

Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT, has developed a new product, the Business Mailers Alliance Database, a cooperative transactional prospecting database for business-to-business mailers.

The product will be available Aug. 1 following an initial build of 15 to 20 million names, including opt-in e-mail addresses, Dave Florence, founder and CEO of Direct Media said yesterday.

Members contribute 0-to-24 month buyers to the database, including transactional data such as dollar amount, date of last purchase, frequency of purchases, channel source and product category.

Participants in the database, updated monthly, remain anonymous. The cost is $65 per thousand names, which includes all selection charges and modeling. “We’re getting mailers a better response at a lower price,” Florence said.

The database is available to members only. Modeling will be performed by Direct Media employees, Pat Samora and Bob Anderson.
