The Major League Soccer franchise known as the Dallas Burn gets a new identity when it moves to a suburban stadium next season.
The fan who can guess the new team name wins two sideline reserve seats for all 2005 MLS regular season and playoff matches played at the new Frisco Stadium. The contest runs through July.
“The new Dallas MLS team name has already been selected and will be representative of the nature of the sport and will be all-inclusive for those who follow the game,” said team owner Lamar Hunt.
All entries with the correct name go into a random draw. Those that don’t win the top prize get two ticket vouchers for a 2005 home game. All entrants get a voucher for a free ticket to the Oct. 16 match against San Jose, the last regular-season game before the name change.
