Credit Reporting, Consumer Direct Activity Lead Equifax’s Fortunes

Equifax Inc. generated third-quarter revenue of $309.8 million, up from $289.7 million in third quarter 2002. The Atlanta-based data firm’s net income rose from $38.9 million to $51.2 million. The quarter ended Sept. 30.

Within its various divisions, U.S. credit reporting transactions grew by 26% over the previous year.

Its Consumer Direct operations racked up third-quarter revenue of $18.7 million.

And its Marketing Services division generated $64.4 million.
