ConAgra Foods last week agreed to pay $14 million to settle a lawsuit filed by shareholders over its accounting practices.
The suit, filed in 2001 by shareholders, challenged accounting practices from fiscal 1997 to 2001 at ConAgra’s United Agri Products (which ConAgra sold in 2003). ConAgra admits no wrongdoing in the settlement.
