Building on a yearlong partnership between Cingular and Avis, the companies have launched a safety campaign.
From now through April 7, consumers who review the Cingular/Avis wireless safety tips and pledge to be sensible at various venues, will instantly receive a free ear bud plus a coupon for one free day of the Avis Assist Navigation Global Positioning System.
Customers can connect the free ear bud to their cell phone, allowing them to talk hands free.
The promotion will be featured at Avis counters in 28 U.S. airports. Consumers can also log on to www.avis.com/besensible and take the safety pledge online. The ear bud and coupon will be mailed to online participants.
