Burger King Names New Marketing VP

Burger King Corp. has appointed Robert Levite as VP-field marketing North America. The new position went into effect yesterday.

In his new role, Levite is in charge of building brand leadership, improving marketing execution and driving guest satisfaction in more than 8,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada. He reports to Russ Klein, Burger King Corp.’s executive VP and chief global marketing officer.

The new position is a bit of homecoming for Levite. He worked three years as a divisional marketing manager at Burger King before launching his career.

“Bob is a highly respected professional and an accomplished, versatile marketer with more than 30 years in the restaurant industry,” Klein said in a statement. “His ability to build successful programs and teams will help develop a marketing line-up that will resonate with our franchisee community, our guests and, ultimately, drive results for the Burger King system.”

Levite joined Burger King after working as senior VP-marketing for Wendy’s International, where he supervised brand marketing, media, creative services and international marketing for the U.S and Canada. Under his leadership there, Levite helped create the annual marketing calendar and directed new product strategy and development.
