Build-A-Bear Workshop is promoting its new virtual world, Buildabearville.com, with an online sweepstakes offering the chance to win an electronics shopping spree.

Visitors to participating Build-A-Bear stores in the U.S, Canada, Puerto Rico, Ireland and the U.K. through March 10 can enter the “Ultimate Buildabearville.com Sweepstakes.”
Two grand-prize winners will receive a $10,000 shopping spree toward the latest technology equipment and be featured in a Beary Newsworthy article in the company’s online community, buildabearville.com.

People who enter the sweepstakes will receive a prize to use in the virtual world. Entry forms are also available at http://www.buildabear.com.

Buildabearville.com is an online community for Build-A-Bear Workshop customers. Each time people make a stuffed friend in the Build-A-Bear Workshop store, they receive a birth certificate and code to bring the animal to life online. Since the site’s launch in December, it has more than 1 million citizens.

Build-A-Bear Workshop is promoting the sweepstakes on its Web site, with storefront signage, in its newsletter and via e-mail blasts. The company handles the sweepstakes internally.
