Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL give up sending commercial mail

The "Big Three" of the Internet Service Provider sector have declared "sending bankruptcy" with respect to deploying commercial email to their users. Responsible for billions of emails per year, reports from Yahoo, Hotmail and AOL are saying the same thing. "AOL just can NOT compete with Datran Media any longer. We are going to give them our advertisements and have them mail our users. We will still administer a ‘welcome’ email, but that is the extent of our deployments going forward. We have determined that Datran achieves three standard deviations of reach within eighteen hours of acquiring a new user." For those at home who are not math majors, that is over 99% of the population.

Google Buys Scott Richter’s CPA Empire

Targeting a "strategic merger," CPA Empire/OptinRealBig/Media Breakaway has formally accepted an offer from web bohemoth Google for a reported $70 million. Both sides seem incredibly pleased with the outcome, and the parties arrived at this number after months of negotiation. "Look, these guys are masters of affiliate marketing, genius viral marketers, impeccable negotiators and aren’t afraid to go toe-to-toe with MSN and MySpace," says Google. "We haven’t seen this kind of balls-out, profitable rampaging since 1999!" The Westminster, CO crew concurs. "Media Breakaway and its holdings would not have entertained an offer from anyone but the best. We are as excited as can be to call ourselves a Google property. Google is even being as gracious as to keep our entire Executive and Management team intact and letting us run our business the way we know best.

Quinstreet Wins Over the FTC

The leader of online education marketing on the net, Quinstreet, has been trying to convince the FTC to let them manage all suppression files in the industry through EmChoice for years. After countless "closed door" meetings, they have finally succeeded in their goal. I even sent them my suppression files for my two sites, www.cauldronlarynxlovesadfemmegirls.com and www.cauldronlarynxhatesholidays.com earlier this afternoon. My dedicated Directtrack agent is in fits, screaming at me, "how the hell am I going to update 79 campaigns using EmChoice? That bugger takes an hour for one campaign! Plus, University of Phoenix and DeVry are top notch offers, so it’s worth the time. But you’re telling me I need to work with Quinstreet and EmChoice to update your www.mypinkpuppyphone.com?" A decent point, I’m sure, but I’m being told the only choice is EmChoice. If anyone has ideas on how we can beat the FTC, let me know. Until then, there are going to be a LOT of pissed off dedicated Directtrack agents and affiliates.

NeverBlue Takes Over Affiliate Marketing Thanks To…

Gambling!! Canadian Entrepreneurs NBAds are dominating the affiliate marketing space, rave affiliates around the globe. Why exactly? Simple.  People love to gamble!! A source close to us remarks, "Vancouver Island, BC is ideal to run a network. They can pool all of the online gaming Companies who have forged through last year’s litigation and market them online- legally!" American-based credit card agencies are forced to decline transactions attempted from Americans on gambling sites, which is preventing US affiliate networks from promoting such offers. Luckily for Neverblue, they are not forced to adhere to the same rules, as they reside on Vancouver Island where the ladies are sweet and the litigation is as cool as the ocean breeze!
