What Andy Rooney Doesn’t Want for Christmas
CBS News correspondent Andy Rooney did a few minutes on catalogs during his 60 Minutes segment last night. What did he have to say about them?
He started by explaining how he gets a lot of Christmas catalogs with hundreds of gift ideas in them, adding “I like getting them because there are always a lot of ideas for things I don’t want.”
Rooney then had a little fun with offers from Brookstone, Wisteria and Highlights, among other mailers. (Note to Rooney: Alvah C. Roebuck died in 1948.) I thought it was sort of funny.
At least it was something different
