Steve Spangler Science Having the Best Week Ever
Congratulations to Steve Spangler Science, which yesterday received the MCM Awards’ Website of the Year honors yesterday at ACCM in New Orleans (link to come). Though we like to think that it’s kind of a big deal to take home one of the major awards (at least in my mind, as the MAC Awards director, lol), Steve Spangler wasn’t there to accept the award (COO Jeff Brooks was there for the company).
But he’s got something real big going on today. It’s Science Day at Coors Field in Denver, and before the Colorado Rockies face the San Francisco Giants this afternoon, Spangler hopes to make history: A Guinness World Record for most children simultaneously doing a scientific experiment.
Here’s a video of a recent practice session for the big day:
And while we’re at it, here’s what happens when you don’t let the police know you’re practicing for the big day by blowing up garbage cans:
Don’t worry – Spangler said during his ACCM session on Tuesday that no garbage cans will be involved today at Coors. I’m sure the Rockies don’t want to honor the 30th anniversary of Disco Demolition Night:
