Some DtoC Drug Ads To Stop

Direct to Consumer drug ads are a big business. They are also misleading at times and the whole practice has been under attack since the ads began years ago, 1997. Now, some drug companies have agreed to pull certain ads in an effort to be more compliant. According to the article, “The companies said they will halt advertising that includes promoting prescription drugs for uses that the Food and Drug Administration hasn’t approved or using actors as physicians without saying so. The guidelines say celebrity endorsers shouldn’t say they use a drug unless they actually do.”
