Best and Worst Ads Based On?

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Well, 2008 is winding down and now is the time to think about the best and worst ads for the past 12 months. My opinion is typically not based on personal preference, but results — did the ad work? That means, did it sell more products or services? Unfortunately, too many of these opinions are just that — biased based on personal preference. Remember the “Head On” commercials? Nasty, right? Well they sold a lot of product. So, in my humble opinion, they worked. Advertising and marketing HAS to be based on accountability. Just ask the CMO’s who are gainfully employed. They’ll tell you.

So, what’s your definition of best and worst of 2008? Care to share?
