A consumer walks by. The lid creaks open. A ghoulish-looking blue hand rises up holding a can of Coors Light.
The motion-sensor activated display — which looks just like any other 12-pack of Coors Light stacked up at retail — is part of a Halloween promotion by the beer maker to catch consumer’s attention, give them a laugh, and hopefully prompt them to grab a case or two of Coors Light. Some 500 displays were introduced this month at retail stores.
Adding to the holiday spirit, more than 3,000 Coors Light Bat Cans — fitted with black “bat wings” — are continuously circling above the product. Displays were designed by Crew Design, Inc., Kent, CT.
