AZ Marketing President Richard Holpe Resigns

Richard Holpe, president and COO of AZ Marketing, Cos Cob, CT, has resigned his position.

Holpe could not be reached for comment and no further details were available.

As reported yesterday on DIRECT Newsline, he is being replaced by Elyssa Cunningham and Theresa Horn who will act as co-presidents. The position took effect June 22.

Cunningham has been with AZ since 1987 and will continue to oversee a variety of list management accounts within the fashion, gift, publishing and non-profit areas. She is a member of the Catalog Council, List and Database Council and Circulation Council.

Horn joined AZ in 1986. Her responsibilities will include servicing list brokerage clients. She is a member of the Catalog Council, List and Database Council and Business-to-Business Council.

Alice Zea, founder of AZ, will take a strategic and consulting role with staff and clients.

In other news, Tim Falvey, senior vice president of corporate strategy and client development and a partner in AZ resigned in April after close to four years with the firm to take a position with Fairfax, VA-based Shop2u.com. In his new position, Falvey heads the newly opened Stamford, CT, office where he will be responsible for business development, building a presence in the New England area and developing a sales force.
