Arnold Arrowitz, a leader in the development of Business-To-Business direct marketing, died on February 28, 2001 at the age of seventy-two in Boca Raton, FL.
Arnie, as he was known to everyone in the industry, left Pittsfield, MA-based direct marketer Pittshire in 1965 to join Amsterdam Printing & Litho. After seven years with Amsterdam, and two more years with U.S. Pencil, he assumed the position of Director of Marketing at Union Pen & Pencil in Elmsford, NY. He was with Union Pen from 1974 until 1981 at which time, along with fellow direct marketer and friend Gene Gluck, he formed the Business-To-Business consulting firm Rollout Marketing. Arnie served as President of Rollout from 1981 until his retirement in 1998.
Arnie leaves his wife, two sons and their wives, four grandchildren and two sisters.
