Arbitron Inc., a media and marketing research firm, is reconfiguring its top executive positions. It is creating three new roles, each under the supervision of president and CEO Michael Skarzynski.
The new positions include:
Executive VP of customer solutions. The person filling it will be responsible for survey research methods and product management as well as for developing improvements to existing services for the radio industry and new multimedia services for domestic and international markets;
Executive VP of strategy and business development. An individual in this role will be responsible for originating, executing and integrating business partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing arrangements and strategic investments; and
An executive VP and chief marketing officer, who will be responsible for marketing, communications and brand.
The company is actively recruiting for all three positions.
Arbitron had previously announced that as of Feb. 24, it would eliminate the positions of president of sales and marketing and president of technology, research and development. Pierre Bouvard, who had previously served as president of sales and marketing, has been named to the new position of executive vice president of sales.
Owen Charlebois, who had served as president of technology, research and development, will leave the company effective March 22.
