American Express Launches Travel Agent Rewards Program

American Express has launched a new program to help travel agents better grow their business and improve customer service while offering the chance to earn rewards at the same time.

To ensure travel agents have the most up-to-date information on American Express offers for consumers, the company has created a program that complies dozens of trips on its travel agent Web site Americanexpress.com/travelprofessional.

The site, which includes more than 50 travel packages, details American Express offers so agents can better serve customers. Travel agents can book any American Express package for their clients.

“We found that agents often weren’t aware of the many offers that were being made directly to card members,” said Carlos Dafonte, VP-travel industry relations establishment services for American Express in a statement. “With this information now readily available on our Web site, agents will be able to better offer advice and deliver considerably more value to all their customers who carry an American Express Card.”

In a separate program, American Express is offering special rewards for travel agents who have eligible bookings. The travel agent Web site lists travel offers, which include agent rewards for bookings made with an American Express card. Rewards can include American Express gift cards, membership reward points or a special gift item.
