Activision, Jeep Launch Online Game, Sweeps

Activision, Inc. and the Jeep brand have teamed up to promote a new online sweepstakes in which participants who design the “sickest” skate park can win skateboarding gear and apparel.

Under the Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 Jeep “Rail Rated” contest and sweepstakes, consumers are challenged to create their version of the coolest skate park using the in-game park editor from Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 for Playstation. Consumers can enter online at Thug2online.com. Entries must be submitted by March 15.

The Ultimate Skate Park contest will award six weekly prize packages featuring equipment and apparel from Quiksilver, Volcom and Etnies. The grand-prize winner will receive a prize package worth $1,800, which includes a gift certificate for footwear, apparel, sunglasses and radio controlled Jeeps. The grand-prize winner will be announced in April.

Registered participants can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a 2005 Jeep Liberty Renegade. The grand-prize winner will be notified on March 23.

The sweepstakes and contest are open to consumers 18 and older and run through March 15. Internet materials support. Santa Monica, Calif.-based Activision, Inc. supports.
