The Yankee Candle Co. Inc. posted net income of $41.1 million,for the fourth quarter, compared to a net loss of $398.9 million in the prior year.
The direct marketer and retailer reported sales of $274.2 million for the quarter ended Jan. 2, a 7.5% increase over approximately $255.1 million last year.
The South Deerfield, MA company attributed these results in part to a 12.5% increase in its consumer direct business in the prior year.
