Yahoo Forms Alliance for Interactive TV Advertising

Yahoo Inc. has formed a strategic mobile advertising alliance with MobiTV Inc. that’s expected to lead to interactive TV promotions.

Yahoo will deliver video mobile advertisements with MobiTV’s live television and premium programming distributed over mobile and broadband networks. The first ads are expected to go live later this year.

“In the near term MobiTV will leverage Yahoo’s advertising sales and systems capabilities, said in a statement Jack Hallahan, vice president of advertising for MobilTV. “As we progress, we will deploy additional features, including next-generation interactivity, location awareness and click to act.”
