Worldata/WebConnect, Boca Raton, FL, has launched permissionE.com, an e-mail list exchange program for direct and interactive marketers.
“The program is identical to the postal list exchanges that mailers have been enjoying for years,” said Jay Schwedelson corporate vice president of Worldata/WebConnect.
Worldata/WebConnect administers all aspects of the exchange including bringing together the permission-based exchange opportunities and implementing and tracking the transmissions. The firm charges a transmission and minimal exchange fee comparable to the postal list exchange fee, Schwedelson said.
“The benefits include expanding the number of prospect names available as well as eliminating the high cost per name associated with renting e-mail files,” he said.
A number of publishing and Internet based organizations currently participate in the program, Schwedelson said.
