George Wiedemann has resigned from his position as CEO of e-mail direct marketing company Responsys Inc., and Thursday accepted the job as president and CEO of iDine Rewards Network Inc.
Wiedemann resigned from Palo Alto, CA-based Responsys, which he had joined in 2000, on Sept. 24. He will remain on the board of directors, he said.
Dave Mahler has been named interim CEO of Responsys.
Wiedemann had been a founder of Grey Direct and a former chairman of the Direct Marketing Association.
Miami-based iDine is a loyalty and restaurant rewards program. Weidemann had served on the board of iDine before becoming CEO.
“I’m elated,” said Wiedemann. “It’s a hot company.”
Wiedemann will remain in Palo Alto and telecommute to Miami.
