Waze, the social driving app that got a boost in attention after Apple Maps stumbled out of the gates, has introduced Waze 3.5, which boasts more social features. The maps app now allows its users to see friends that are driving to their destination, and share drives, pickups and meet-up spots. Waze users can also check in to their destination without leaving the app. The new version also adds a Facebook single sign-on to integrate users’ social graphs. “More importantly, this Facebook integration allows drivers to collect friends around a shared destination point, distribute directions, short cuts and all that good stuff.” Other new features include private messaging, the ability to save your parking location and indicators of toll-road usage in routing.
