Valassis Communications Inc., a Livonia, MI-based advertising and direct-marketing company, acquired 80% of PreVision Marketing, which specializes in customer relationship management. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal is expected to be dilutive for the first 18 months, within the four to eight cents a share range. The transaction will be funded with a combination of cash and stock.
Valassis’ own customer relationship management department caters to the grocery industry. PreVision clients include Toys R Us, The Gap, Bose, Talbots, Monster.com and the United States Postal Service.
