Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

The U.S. Postal Service posted a net loss of $659 million for the third quarter.

The USPS attributed this partly to $878 million in expenses related to implementing the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act, which President Bush signed last December.

The postal service reported revenue of $18.4 billion for the quarter ended June 30, a 2.9% increase over revenue of $17.9 billion in the prior year.
