The U.S. Postal Service assigned its reported $136 million marketing account to three Interpublic Group of Cos. siblings: DraftWorldwide, Chicago, Campbell-Ewald, Detroit, and Initiative Media, New York City. The two-year assignment carries a clause for three optional years. Campbell-Ewald and Draft will form a Detroit-based team dedicated to Washington, DC-based USPS, with Campbell-Ewald as lead creative agency.
P-O-P incumbent Frankel, Chicago, participated in the review that began in January (March PROMO). DraftWorldwide won several awards for its USPS Stamp Services work, including the 1998 launch of the first Breast Cancer Research fundraising stamp (October 1999 PROMO).
