Tumblr has long been something of a lightweight blogging platform, but with its updated Dashboard today, it seems the company is making itself even lighter. The website has redesigned its Dashboard in a subtle way: Instead of being taken to a whole new page when creating a post based on text, photos, quotes, links, chats, audio or video, users will now see a slick animation that pops the relevant post-creation window into view right in the Dashboard, while all else there is dimmed.
