The 5 Types of Holiday Shoppers in 2012

Posted on

Holiday shoppingThe holiday season is wonderful for retailers. This year, online retailers should get to know the five common holiday shopping personalities so they can create campaigns that will influence all five personalities. They are: 1) Uber Planner, 2) Down to the Wire Procrastinator, 3) Cyber Monday Surfer, 4) Black Friday Fanatic and 5) Green Monday Bargainer. Each personality has good news, rules of engagement and a prime window of opportunity. Black Friday Fanatic, for instance, “gets in line as soon as she finishes Thanksgiving dishes” and “fights crowds and loves the thrill of the deal.” Ads targeted at her should feature discount codes exclusive to your display campaign, ones that can only be redeemed in-store on Black Friday. She should be targeted Nov. 12-23, the two weeks leading up to Black Friday. (ClickZ)
