NOVO 1 Inc. plans to upgrade call centers in 13 states by converting from traditional telephone lines to new Internet telephony technology to handle phone calls and data transmissions. The teleservices agency has signed a multimillion contract with AT&T to do the work.
ICT Group Inc. has inked a contract with the pharmaceutical firm Pfizer Inc. to provide telephone customer service in English and Spanish, including interactive voice response and speech recognition technology. ICT operates five call centers in Pennsylvania and Arizona.
Comcast Corp. has completed a $10 million renovation of its 35,000-square foot call center in Washington, DC., where it employees nearly 200 people.
