Team Baby Entertainment has signed on agency 206 to handle promotional and brand marketing efforts for the sports entertainment company.
The deal marks the first time the company has retained a marketing firm. The agency will help the company further its presence as a provider of sports-themed entertainment for kids.
Under the agreement, 206 is negotiating promotions with top grocery chains. It also is in discussions with health and personal care, apparel, food and beverage, automotive, electronics, toys and games companies for possible tie-ins and partnerships.
Team Baby Entertainment, which launched in 2006, currently has licenses with Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, NASCAR and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
The company is developing an animated television series and a music CD collection designed to teach children the principles of sportsmanship, teamwork, persistence, healthy living, friendship and positive values.
