Susan G. Komen for the Cure has named Katrina McGhee as vice president of marketing.
In her new role, McGhee will oversee Komen’s cause marketing programs and corporate sponsorships. She will also develop Komen for the Cure’s multicultural marketing efforts to reach new audiences and strengthen existing relationships with the organization.
McGhee is credited with developing new and creative marketing and fundraising initiatives, like Komen’s Passionately Pink for the Cure program. With her new title, she will work to help Komen reach minority populations and engage and integrate young people more fully into the group’s mission,
McGhee joined the organization in 2006 as director of cause marketing. In that role, she was in charge of development, oversight and staff management of relationships and programs with Komen for the Cure’s corporate partners and their cause related marketing initiatives.
Prior to that, she worked at the American Heart Association national center as the director of marketing.
In addition, Cindy Schneible was named Komen’s vice president of development. In her new role, Schneible is in charge of developing new and diverse funding sources and strengthening philanthropic activities. She will build all development initiatives, including major gifts, planned giving, direct mail, gift solicitation and gift management.
