Multibuyer sales volume increased to 53% in the first quarter, which reflect a 6% rise in the number of consumers who said they placed three or more online orders within the last 12 months, according to co-op survey findings.
“We see a growing use of the Internet for repeat online orders,” said Lilliane LeBel, vice president of Decision Direct Research, a division of Millard Group Inc.
Other findings revealed that 24% of consumers want to receive e-mail reminders for items left in online shopping carts, up 2% compared to last year. Only 42% of those surveyed said they were satisfied with site search, which was 3% lower than last year’s figure.
