Starbucks Corp. juices its continuity card with a sweepstakes dangling high-end travel prize.
The Starbucks Connects You with Culture sweepstakes lets the grand-prize winner chose a trip for two to Paris, New York City or Napa Valley, CA. Fifty first-prize winners get $50 added to their Starbucks Card each month for a year.
Starbucks Card holders get an automatic sweeps entry each time they use a Starbucks Card or Duetto Visa (on Starbucks purchases only). Players also get an entry each time they reload their Starbucks Card. The format encourages cardholders to make more purchases and keep their cards loaded.
Cardholders must register each reloadable Starbucks Card to get automatic entries; they don’t have to register a Duetto Visa card, an affinity credit card that earns “Duetto Dollar” rebates on all purchases and deposits them into a Starbucks Card Account to be redeemed at Starbucks stores.
The sweepstakes runs through Feb. 15; Marden-Kane, Manhasset, NY, handles for Seattle-based Starbucks.
