The Spiegel Group plans to close 25 Eddie Bauer stores this year, Associated Press reported.
The Downers Grove, IL, company also plans to open 10 new stores with merchandise different from the typical Eddie Bauer casual, rugged style.
Spiegel announced the closings in a conference call to discuss fourth-quarter earnings at the end of last week. For the quarter ended Dec. 30, Spiegel reported a 13% drop in earnings
