Major League Baseball Properties is teaming up with Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios to support the national release of Spider-Man 2 via a weekend Spider-Man 2 events coordinated with MLB Properties and the 15 MLB Clubs hosting home games June 11-13.
During the weekend, the Spider-Man 2 logo will appear on the bases during game play, on ceremonial home plates and pitching rubbers for pre-game festivities, on the on-deck circles and on lineup cards. The host teams will also be giving away either a Spider-Man 2 mask or foam hand to fans in attendance, the league said.
In addition, highlights from Spider-Man 2 will run on stadium video boards to promote the motion picture’s June 30 release. Major League Baseball Properties and the 15 participating Clubs will promote Spider-Man 2Weekend locally in each market and nationally.
Major League Baseball Clubs hosting Spider-Man 2 Weekend are the Anaheim Angels, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays.
