Green Mountain Coffee, a wholesaler and direct mailer of gourmet coffees, has named John Winter to the newly created position of director of social responsibility. Before joining the Waterbury, VT-based company, Winter was a fellow in the Harvard University/U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development joint community builder program. His responsibilities with Green Mountain Coffee will include overseeing employee volunteer efforts that focus on the environment, community action, safety and wellness.
