America Online (AOL), the Dulles, VA-based Internet powerhouse, has signed a deal with online catalog aggregator Catalogcity.com, Monterey, CA, to include all its 400 catalogs on its AOL Shopping pages.
The Direct Marketing Education Foundation has named former Rodale, Inc. vice president Thomas Stoneback president. He succeeds Richard Montesi who retired in December 2000.
The Direct Marketing Association has partnered with the AARP to create a user’s guide to using the Internet for those over age 50. The guide, Getting Cybersavvy: A New User’s Guide to Going Online is available in print or at http://www.cybersavvy.org, and provides the basic information needed to start surfing the Internet, including tips on hooking up your computer connection for the first time, picking Internet service providers, a glossary of cyber jargon and advice on surfing safely.
Online automotive marketplace Edmunds.com has assembled a new team team of automotive industry professionals to enhance the company’s presence in the marketplace. New to the team are Ken Stubblefield, executive director of automotive alliances and partnerships; Lew Eads, account director; George Kang, account director; and Tony Smihal, account director. David Portener, vice president, alliances and partnerships, oversees the new team.
