Mayor Richard M. Daley has proclaimed Wed., Nov. 10 as “Chicago Association of Direct Marketing Day in Chicago,” in honor of the association’s 50 years of continuous service to the city. CADM will begin the day by sponsoring the fifth annual Bob Stone Education Day, an all-day seminar at the Westin Hotel. The event will feature 11 sessions, a luncheon talk by J. Walker Smith, president, Yankelovich Partners Inc., and presentation of the winner of the 2004 Pat Wheelless Award for Outstanding Mentorship. The association’s 50th anniversary reception will run from 6-8 p.m. that evening at the John Hancock Center’s Signature Room. For information, visit www.cadm.org.
Sharper Image Corp. has appointed Tracy Wan to its board of directors. Wan has been president and CCO of the San Francisco-based company since 1999. She joined Sharper Image in 1988.
