Harte-Hanks reported net income of $21.9 million for the third quarter, a 20.9% decline from net income of $27.7 million last year.

The direct marketing services firm posted operating revenue of $286.7 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, a 2.7% decrease from $294.7 million in the prior year.

“Our overall third quarter results reflect a continuation of the trends we have seen since the beginning of this year, primarily the continued deterioration in shoppers revenue,” said CEO Richard Hochhauser, in a statement. “On the positive side, direct marketing turned in a solid performance at the bottom line.”
