An 81% increase in catalog sales helped drive August revenue of $34.5 million for Sharper Image Corp., a 40% increase over the same period last year.
CEO Richard Thalheimer said in a statement that sales were strong across all channels.
Catalog sales totaled $11.4 million, compared with $6.3 million last August. Contributing to this increase were strong wholesale sales; without them, the catalog increase would have been 38%, Thalheimer said.
Retail store sales rose by 17% to $19. 5 million, and comparable store sales increased 15%.
