The business activities of GaleDirect, the direct marketing list sales unit of the Gale Group, has been acquired by its senior managers and relaunched as 1 Stop Data Ltd., a new independent B-to-B list supplier.
The move comes as a result of a management buyout led by Pauline Murphy, formerly GaleDirect’s sales and marketing director.
According to the terms of the agreement, 1 Stop Data Ltd. has global rights to manage list sales for key Gale Group databases.
Murphy will assume the position of managing director of the new company and Andrew Beavon, formerly GaleDirect’s marketing director, has been named director of sales and marketing.
The 1 Stop Data portfolio of lists initially includes a number of Gale Group databases including MCD, The International Library List, The International Associations List, The International Research Centres List and Ward’s Database of US Companies.
1 Stop Data will also broaden its focus to include additional products and services.
