Spending on search engine marketing is on track to surpass and generate more revenues than display advertising, according to JupiterResearch. Online advertising is projected to grow 12% while display advertising grows 7% over the next five years.
Based on JupiterResearch’s projections, online advertising revenues will grow to $18.9 billion by 2010, compared to $9.3 billion at the end of last year.
“There is phenomenal momentum behind search engine marketing,” said Gary Stein, senior analyst at JupiterResearch, in a prepared statement.
