Cataloger and retailer Saks Inc. based in New York, has launched saksfifthavenue.com, its first commercial Web site.
The site, (http://www.saksfifthavenue.com) will start off carrying 12,000 distinct offerings of luxury goods which will expand to 60,000 by the end of the year and to over 100,000 by year-end 2001.
Saksfifthavenue.com also offers viewing features and functions to allow customers to view products from different angles. Site visitors can also enlarge and zoom merchandise and products, and rotate select merchandise 360 degrees.
